Jack Silar

Jim Futrell

From his youngest days, Jim Futrell was fascinated by amusement parks.  Living in Albuquerque, New Mexico, Jim has vivid memories from his early childhood of grocery shopping with his mother across the street from Cliff ‘s Amusement Park and trips to Coney Island during family visits to Cincinnati. The amusement industry has always played a role in Jim’s life even from an early age.

Frederick Ingersoll

Ingersoll is well remembered as a amusement industry pioneer who pushed for the development of the modern day roller coaster and helped lead the construction efforts to popularize the modern day amusement park

Ferdinand (Fred) DelGrosso

The DelGrosso story is quintessentially American and represents the hopes and dreams of family members spanning several generations. To this day, Fred and Mafalda’s Park Mission remains unchanged: to provide high-quality food and entertainment in a clean, safe, and friendly environment at a fair price.

Paul Nelson

Paul served as President of PAPA, on the Board of IAAPA, and the local Tourism Board. He was well respected in the amusement industry and was very willing to share his business experiences with other amusement parks.  Paul more than doubled the size of Waldameer, providing a very successful local amusement venue for future generations to enjoy.

Al Fasnacht

Al Fasnacht (1928-2025) –Visionary entrepreneur, community leader, and beloved mentor whose legacy continues to resonate across generations. As the co-founder of Funland in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, Al transformed a modest boardwalk attraction into a cherished family destination, embodying values of humility, fairness, and joy.

Gary Chubb

Gary was born in 1953 and spent the first 5 years of his life living next to Hersheypark. Several years after moving to another part of town, he became neighbors and good friends with the Fasnacht Family who at the time owned the now defunct Willow Mill Park. (Fasnacht’s now own and operate Funland in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware).

Dick Knoebel

Dick has championed the preservation and enhancement of many other historical rides and attractions.  He played a significant part in the purchase and restoration of such rare or unique rides as the Flyer, the Looper, the Roto-Jets, the Haunted Mansion, and most recently the Rock-O-Plane, each carefully preserved to maintain their original charm while meeting modern safety standards.

Andy Quinn

With his warm smile and friendly demeanor, Andy provided a welcoming atmosphere to countless groups, as well as becoming extremely active in government relations for both Kennywood and the PAPA.

Bob Cassata

Bob Cassata is the founder of Bob’s Space Racers, Inc. (BSR), a renowned manufacturer of amusement games based in Holly Hill, Florida. Established in 1970, BSR is best known for creating the iconic Whac-A-Mole game, which has become a staple in arcades and amusement parks worldwide.

Milton Hershey

A successful candymaker, Milton Hershey, developed a complete factory town close to the dairy farms of Central Pennsylvania, which included Hersheypark. Hersheypark grew into a major entertainment complex that also includes ZooAmerica and The Boardwalk water park. He later went on to become a major philanthropist, founding the Milton Hershey School.
