Building a Legacy of Family Fun
His family initially purchased and operated Willow Mill Park in Mechanicsburg, PA in 1956, which laid the foundation for future endeavors in the amusement industry. As the park grew, he ventured out with other family members to purchase the former Sports Center in Rehoboth Beach, renaming it Funland. Over the next 60 years, Al’s leadership built Funland into a beloved amusement pier known for its affordable family entertainment. His hands-on approach to work had fostered a culture of respect and hard work among employees and colleagues.
